How Has Design Thinking Changed Your Thinking?

We asked our winning teams to reflect on the question

Want to change the way we approach teen pregnancy prevention? How might we improve the ability of 10-24-year-olds to make better decisions that help avoid unplanned pregnancy?

This is your chance to help redefine Sex Ed for the 21st Century, though a unique accelerator program focused on technology-enabled ideas to prevent teen pregnancy.

  • 10 teams of three will be selected to receive $80,000 in funding. Five of those ten will be awarded up to $325,000 to further develop their innovation.
  • Learn Design Thinking through immersive workshops and expert guidance from renowned design and innovation consultancy IDEO.
  • Join a cohort of fellow innovators and thought-leaders.

About the Project

Design Thinking catalyzed new ideas for us and we believe it can make powerful change.

We hope that Innovation Next will result in a diffusion of Design Thinking throughout the field and, in turn, provoke better solutions for teen pregnancy prevention. We intend to use the Design Thinking framework to bring five technology innovations to reality (to a point where they can be used, often referred to as a "MVP,"" or "minimal viable product") over the course of two years.

These innovations, we hope, will have real impact on the target audiences and the field. Read more about the concept behind Innovation Next.
